Open a new chapter of inspired care as a Clinical Coordinator for the Shands Endoscopy Center at UF Health Shands Hospital, a nationally recognized, 1,162-bed, academic medical center located in beautiful Gainesville, Florida.
We are actively seeking qualified nursing candidates to serve in this full-time coordinator role supporting an advanced, integrated endoscopic service line staffed by nationally and internationally renowned gastroenterologists and experienced Magnet®-designated nurses. This role will allow you to:
Lead the coordination of patient-centered care and our professional nursing practice by overseeing the clinical and administrative operations of the UF Health Shands Endoscopy Center.
Ensure optimal daily operations of the center by ensuring appropriate staffing and inventory, as well as monitoring financial indicators and customer service standard metrics.
Develop and manage departmental policies and procedures, budget preparation, fiscal performance, staffing schedules, customer service initiatives, quality improvement and patient safety.
Coordinate hiring activities, orientation, training and coaching, as well as staff management, such as ongoing education, evaluations and corrective actions.
Provide strategic planning, implementation, evaluation and revision of systems that support professional practice standards that help the department achieve organizational goals.
Deliver 24-hour accountability for the department.
Successful candidates should have an MSN and current Florida RN license. Applicants currently pursuing their MSN will be considered. Applicants must have at least five years of professional nursing practice experience with three years of GI procedural experience. We are seeking candidates who demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, application of evidence-based practice and accountable nursing practices, practical nursing knowledge and the ability to work well within a multispecialty team environment to achieve exceptional patient care outcomes. All applicants should have their national nursing certification or be able to obtain the certification within six months of hire.
