Full time position available for a Senior Clinical Nurse in the Endoscopy Department at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA to assume the responsibility for organizing and coordinating the daily clinical activities of the Endoscopy Department. The Senior Clinical Nurse ensures that the patient care is delivered in a professional, courteous and caring manner. This position includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions: using leadership skills to coordinate and delegate aspects of care to team members consistent with their level of education, competence and scope of practice, in order to meet patient’s needs. Assists staff nurse with utilizing the nursing process in providing professional nursing care based on established nursing care standards, policies and procedures. Assists staff in implementing evidence based practice to improve quality care and maintain accountability for own practice and the aspects of care delegated to others.
Current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications required
Endoscopy experience required with previous supervisory experience preferred
One year telemetry or critical care experience required
