The RN Clinical Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations for The Institute for Surgical Specialties. Responsibilities include: managing human resources at the department level in a cost-effective manner, while acting as a mentor and resource for all staff; facilitating an optimal environment to support orientation and clinical competency validation, while ensuring an interactive team milieu; promptly and fully investigating and resolving complaints of patients, visitors, staff and physicians and advising administration appropriately; and responding and providing direction in changing workload during low-volume and high-volume situations. Clinical duties include overseeing and overall responsibility for physician directed care of clinic patients, including nursing care, patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each patient seen. The successful candidate will also be responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care, established policies and procedures and practice guidelines established for Colorectal Services, Vascular and IR services. In addition, the Clinical Manager will ensure that all aspects of documentation, care planning and patient care delivery meet Joint Commission and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
Minimum qualifications include CA RN license, 3 years of experience relevant to clinic specialty, previous management experience and BLS certification. BSN, certification in area of specialty and ED, Surgery, GI or high-volume outpatient clinic experience are preferred.
