Lakewood Ranch Medical Center has received Chest Pain Center accreditation with PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) from the American College of Cardiology and offers a range of technologically advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures performed by experienced medical professionals, including cardiac catheterization, stress testing, peripheral angiography, echocardiography (ECG) and electrocardiography (EKG) and treatment for pulmonary embolism. The heart catheterization lab includes a STEMI program that provides coronary interventions for patients who may experience a heart attack.
Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is certified by the Joint Commission as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center and is a Get With the Guidelines Stroke GOLD PLUS Achievement Award hospital. The Center provides prompt, expert treatment for stroke patients as well as stroke prevention, intervention, rehabilitation and education.
The Registered Nurse provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times and other duties as assigned.
