Summary
The Endoscopy Registered Nurse is a professional nursewho coordinates the delivery of nursing care for the patient in the Endoscopy area. The Endoscopy Registered Nurse demonstrates competence in the planning of care for the patient undergoing an endoscopic procedure and through the recovery phases of anesthesia. The RN participates in patient and family teaching, provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.
Qualifications:Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)
Experience
1 -2 years minimum preferred
Certifications
Required: Current state licensure or eligibility to do so. CPR certification/ACLS certification to be completed within 6 months of employment.PALS recommended, but not required.MAC Sedation preferred
