Summary

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care for the Outpatient or Inpatient requiring endoscopic interventions. The Endoscopy Registered Nurse demonstrates competence in the planning of care for the patient undergoing an endoscopic procedure and through the recovery phases of anesthesia. The RN participates in patient and family teaching, provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other department health care personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state licensure or eligibility to do so.
• Current BLS
• ACLS within 6 months of hire
• Moderate Sedation to be completed within 6 months of hire.
• PALS preferred
