Summary The clinical specialist serves as the clinical expert for assigned Surgical Services. . The clinical specialist is responsible for the coordination of education for the practice of perioperative nursing. This individual assesses and diagnoses specific learning needs of nurses in assigned areas, and then provides the appropriate clinical intervention for their development.
