Under the supervision and/or direction of the Registered Nurse, or as ordered by the physician, the Endoscopy Technician performs various direct patient care activities in accordance with the Nursing Department policies and procedures. The Endoscopy Technician is able to assist with all procedures including but not limited to: Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, Peg's, Brochoscope, Motility testing, and other patient care activities performed in the Endoscopy Department. The Endoscopy Technician may be assigned other functions in accordance with hospital/department policies, procedures, and protocols.
Requirements:
A.Education/Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certificate of completion from an approved Nurse Assistant training course or two years prior experience as Nurse Assistant in another health care facility; or proof of acceptance into an approved LVN program.
B.Experience
One to two years' experience in a hospital preferred.
