We're excited to welcome a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to our Inpatient Gastroenterology/Nutrition Service. Role Overview:

This role is to help cover our inpatient and outpatient nutrition service, autonomously managing patients on Total Parenteral Nutrition. The ideal Candidate will have previous inpatient GI and/or TPN experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited PA program

• NCCPA certification

• Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of related experience as a PA is preferred

• BLS certification

OR

• Current New York State (NYS) RN and FNP licenses/registrations

• Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)

• 3+ years of related clinical experience

• Related National NP certification

• BLS certification

Core Skills:

• Gastroenterology experience is essential; desired candidate will have experience managing TPN

• Skilled at anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders

• Resourceful, with a strong ability to secure and utilize resources efficiently

• Clear and effective communicator across all levels

• Personable and able to build rapport with diverse groups

• Flexible and adaptable, adjusting approach and demeanor to meet evolving demands in real time

Additional Information:

Location: Main hospital campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY

Hours: Per Diem as needed, hours available Monday-Friday, ten-hour shifts; no weekends or holidays

Reporting to: Associate Director, APP

Pay Range: $88/hr.
