The VA New Jersey health care system is seeking a Registered Nurse to work in Patient care services assisting with procedures in the GI Suite, ICU, OR and the endoscopy unit. Positions are located at the East Orange Campus and the Lyons campus and requires cross coverage at both sites. The Registered Nurse - Endoscopy is responsible for administering medications, preparing and monitoring the patient during procedures, transporting the patient to the recovery room, reprocessing flexible endoscopes and operating endoscope processing equipment. Other Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepares the procedure area and ensures proper sanitation of equipment before and after procedures.
