Clinical Nurse - Surgery Clinic
Position SummaryPhoenix Children’s is hiring an experienced nurse to help our kids who Surgery Clinic. This position will work side by side the doctors and NPs who specialize in this area. The primary responsibilities will be to educate the children and families about the function of a G-Tube and Cecostomy tube. Educate the patients/families on how to care for the tubes, teaching them why they have a G-tube/Cecostomy tube and how to help with any trouble shooting. Incumbent will work closely with the how to irrigate the cecostomy tube following the procedure; what supplies are needed, how to keep the area clean, and when to call a doctor for phone triage, some minor wound care, post operative complication calls.
